About the CyberSeminar: Government & Community Relations (IFM #107)

This course provides an overview of the various types of relationships fairs have with governing bodies, explores ideas for creating good relationships, the importance of demonstrating public value, and coalition building. Introduces ideas for working with and for the community and the role a fair plays within their community.  This is an Insitute of Fair Management for credit course – all member’s welcome!

Rick Pickering has more than 30 years’ experience in leading Fairs and Events. Experience includes CEO California Exposition & State Fair, CEO Alameda County Fair, Deputy General Manager Orange County Fair, Board Member for numerous Fair related organizations, founding senior partner of Pickering Events, LLC, WAFA Hall of Fame inductee, National Distinguished Eagle Scout, President of Lead Like Jesus International ministry organization, experience on numerous nonprofit boards, international speaker and trainer, trainer in Community & Governmental Relations.
