CFE & CVFM Designation
Full-time fair staff members associated with an IAFE member fair can qualify to receive the prestigious Certified Fair Executive designation. Likewise, volunteer staff associated with an IAFE member fair can obtain the Certified Volunteer Fair Manager designation.
CFE and CVFM designation recognizes excellence in the fair management field. CFEs and CVFMs are chosen based upon an extensive review and application process.
Certified Fair Executive (CFE)
The IAFE has granted over 500 Certified Fair Executives official CFE designation. CFE identifies you as an industry expert, a leader in the fair industry, and one who has met the well-balanced CFE criteria. Are you looking to advance your career? Join this elite group that features CFE on their business cards! This designation is reserved for those that qualify, including but not limited to having a minimum of 5 years experience as a full-time executive officer of a fair or state or provincial fair association.
Application deadline January 15.
Effective beginning with 2024 designee applicants, to qualify for CFE designation status, must be a graduate of the IAFE Institute of Fair Management (IFM)*

Certified Volunteer Fair Manager (CVFM)
A relatively new industry designation, the IAFE has granted seven CVFM designations. A very prestigious title is given to those who meet the criteria. Recipients must have at least ten years of experience as a volunteer in a management-level position at a fair. A management-level position is an officer, board member, department head, or superintendent of a member fair. The applicants must also be a graduate of the IAFE Institute of Fair Management (IFM)*
