Management Conference
April 17-20

The most in-depth and professional conference of the year is slated for April 17-20 in Richmond, Virginia. "Charting Your Course for Change," the Spring Management Conference, will provide CEO's and management staff members the insight and information to navigate today's change-filled business environment. Jerry Bouma of Edmonton, Alberta will kick the conference off with a look at the 200 year history of fairs in America and address the new opportunities fairs have to be today's ultimate reality experience.

Workshop session -- risk management strategy for social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), managing controversy, labor issues, and community relevance – these timely topics will be covered and you'll walk away with information you can use immediately. Featured speakers will include Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former head of OSHA as the United States Assistant Secretary of Labor, Matt Strassberg of the Consensus Building Institute, and Leslie White of Croydon Consulting. Best of all, this is your chance to visit The Meadow Event Park, home of the State Fair of Virginia – the first totally new fairgrounds facility built in the 21st century. State Fair staff and their management partner, SMG will be our hosts for tours and reception on April 18.
Our Mission: To represent and facilitate the interests of agricultural fairs, exhibitions, and show associations.
